Instead of avoiding the elephant in the room, Wendy Williams has addressed recent reports that her husband, Kevin Hunter, has been carrying on an affair for over 10 years.
The talk show host let fans know on Tuesday’s episode of The Wendy Williams Show that all is well in the Hunter household, and that she’s standing by her hubby of almost 20 years.
“It’s weird doing ‘Hot Topics’ and being a hot topic. It’s some sort of weird story going around the internet regarding my husband,” Williams said.
“Without giving the story too much attention,” she continued, “you can believe what you want, but …” then the host held up her left hand to show her wedding ring.
“I stand by my guy,” she declared. “We commuted this morning. All is well in Hunterville. Don’t believe the hype, and if there was hype, believe me, you—I would let you know.”
Hunter is accused of cheating on the former radio jock with massage therapist Sharina Hudson, 32, by TheDailyMail, which conducted a yearlong investigation into the alleged affair.
Sources claim the Brooklyn native reportedly splits his time between the home he shares with his breadwinner wife and a home where his alleged mistress resides. In fact, the 46-year-old father is said to have moved Hudson out of his two-bedroom condo and into a $765,000 home just nine miles away from his family estate in Morristown, N.J.
The spokesman for Williams, Ronn Torossian, was the first to deny her husband’s alleged affair, telling the publication, “One plus one does not equal three. This woman is a friend of Mr. Hunter but there is no ‘there’ there.”
