TMZ caught up with Hollywood producer Will Packer as he made his way through the airport. Packer who is responsible for box office hits such as Straight Outta Compton and Girls Trip gave his opinion on a white director taking over the Black Panther sequel for Ryan Coogler.
Marvel is known to switch around directors for their comic book film series. The cameraman proposed J.J. Abrams as a potential replacement, but the producer doesn’t think he will cut it for Wakanda. Packer says, “Nah, you gotta keep it with Coogler.” He continues, “If he doesn’t want to do it, you have to find another melanin-infused brother. This is the one time where it hurts you to be a White director in Hollywood.”
