After years of focusing his creative energy on acting, Will Smith shared a video of himself back in the studio showing off his lyrical skill.
The video titled, Messing around in the studio…, was posted on YouTube earlier today (May 23). In the clip, Smith explains, “At my peak, I was doing a television show, a movie and an album every year. Churning out that kind of creativity, you get to a point where you get empty… I’m re-energized and I’m creating wildly.” The rapper-turned-actor then spits witty bars over “To The Clique” where he brags about his success, his family and takes shots at the current state of hip-hop.
Smith is returning to music and is featured on the official 2018 World Cup anthem with reggaeton star Nicky Jam, and Kosovar pop star Era Istrefi, reports Billboard. The Diplo-produced song will be released on May 25.
