REPORT: Woman Sues R. Kelly for Giving Her an STD at 19

A new victim has come forward in the ever-growing sexual misconduct allegations reported against R. Kelly. The woman told Dallas police that the R&B singer “knowingly and intentionally” infected her with a sexually transmitted disease when she was only 19 years of age. The alleged victim claims that she had an eight-month relationship with Kelly as he tried to groom her for his alleged sex cult.

As previously reported, Kelly is accused of leading a sex cult in his Georgia mansion where he allegedly houses underage girls as sex pets and denies them contact with their family. According to the Washington Post, the unidentified woman was reportedly also loaded with alcohol and illegal drugs while with the “Ignition” singer. Her lawyer, Lee Merritt, reports that the woman will file a lawsuit in the coming weeks against Kelly for aggravated assault as a result of the transmission of the STD.

In a statement to the paper Merrit said: “Our client was the victim of several forms of criminal misconduct by Kelly, including, but not limited to, unlawful restraint, furnishing alcohol and illegal drugs to a minor, and aggravated assault (via the referenced intentional STD infection). These offenses occurred while our client was being groomed to join Kelly’s sex cult. Kelly gradually introduced the cult to our client over the course of their relationship, culminating with an explanation that she would have to sign a contract and offer collateral information about herself and her family for Kelly’s protection.”

The unidentified woman was also in contact with Jocelyn Savage who was covered in a Buzzfeed report that exposed the alleged sex cult. Savage’s parents have since gone on record saying they had little to no contact with their daughter and that Kelly was holding her captive. After ending her relationship with the singer, Jane Doe contacted the Savages, who connected her with a lawyer. Timothy Savage called her brave for coming forward and taking legal action.

R. Kelly’s reps deny the newest allegations and any wrongdoing. Merrit will be holding a press conference in Dallas on Wednesday.
