EBONY kicked off the launch of our March issue and Women’s History Month editorial series, Women Up!, with an uplifting and celebratory brunch event at the Conrad New York where we will toasted 150 amazing inﬂuencers in the world of media, business, community action, beauty and style. Hilton Worldwide and Strength of Nature powered the experience and made it all possible!
Our Chief Operating Officer, Cheryl Mayberry McKissack offered an enthusiastic welcome to the ladies and was followed by remarks from our Editor-in-Chief, Kierna Mayo; Andrea Richardson, Hilton Worldwide Multicultural & Diversity Marketing Global Marketing Director; and a special address from MADFree Image Activist, Michaela Andrea Davis.
The Women Up! brunch created a space for EBONY to wrap its arms around the sisters in our community who are consistently giving back and lifting us up. Together, we laughed, cried and walked away feeling encouraged and ready to get back to being who we’ve always been: the backbone of our community.
Since 1945, EBONY magazine has shined a spotlight on the worlds of Black people in America and worldwide. Our commitment to showcasing the best and brightest as well as highlighting disparities in Black life has been, and will always be, cornerstone to EBONY.
