While Eric Benét’s vintage brand of R&B is what catapulted the singer to stardom, his personal style (as this video illustrates) has been as central to his image as his infectious voice. To celebrate the new remix to his latest single, “News for You,” Benét continues to incorporate fashion into the mix with a sartorial powwow at premium menswear boutique Brooklyn Circus. A crew of fashion bloggers—KJohn of KJohnLaSoul, Dapper Lou, Gabe and Rae Holiday of Stuff Fly People Like—as well as The Huffington Post’s Rog Walker and our very own Arts & Culture Editor (and Benét doppelgänger) Miles Marshall Lewis got together with Benét to discuss the singer’s style development from his back-in-the-day boho aesthetic to his current tailored flair. Also, hear him reveal the inspiration behind his latest independent album, last year’s The One, and watch him do what he does best: sing.—Alexandra Phanor-Faury
