Ashanti Teases Possible Comeback in New Clip

Ashanti

Looks like Ashanti’s got something up her sleeve.

The R&B singer took to Instagram to tease a comeback and I’ve got to say, she looks incredible! But that’s nothing new, the “Foolish” singer has been flaunting her curves and flawless skin in recent years, legitimizing what we already know as fact: Black Don’t Crack.

The clip shows the model-esque Ashanti working the rooftop while adorning a metallic green sequin gown with a plunging neckline and a dramatic split. A new scene from her upcoming music video, perhaps? Only time will tell, but it looks like the songstress is definitely up to something, captioning the post “#Juswaitonit.” If the background track is any indication of new music, we’re in for the treat.

Peep the video and hopeful new music below.

Last we heard from the singer was on The Hamilton Mixtape where she reunited with JaRule on “Helpless.” But back in March, she spoke to Harper’s Bazaar about her upcoming single “Loose Yourself.” “This new song is completely different,” she stated. “Let’s just say, with me and Ja knowing each other for over 15 years, when I played him the record, he was like, ‘Who’s that? Yo that’s you?’ He made me start the record over! He was like, ‘Oh my gosh, you gotta put that out tonight.’” She continued. “It’s safe to say that it’s very different and so dope. It’s really a nice change. It’s current, it’s urgent. When you do put the two together, you’re like, ‘Damn it does sound like Ashanti, but something new, something 2017.”

As excited as she seems, we hope to hear some new tracks from her soon.
