The “A People’s Tribute to the Queen” Aretha Franklin concert held Thursday night at Detroit’s Chene Park Amphitheatre was the ultimate experience for fans of the “Natural Woman,” with over 30 artists taking the stage to pay homage to the icon.
Several singers, dancers, actors and community leaders showed up and showed out for the Queen of Soul, including Raheem DeVaughn, the Rev. Jesse Jackson, Tyler Perry, Angie Stone, chorographer Lisa McCall, Johnny Gill, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Judge Greg Mathis, Jenifer Lewis, Regina Belle and several others.
