There’s nothing like food, friends and fun to welcome in the new season! EBONY recently threw our first annual “Hello Summer” mixer Thursday, May 31, to celebrate the end of an exasperatingly long winter and welcome in the sweet heat! Check out a recap of the joyous affair below!
The EBONY “Hello Summer” mixer included delicious eats prepared to perfection by Cloves & Lace Catering. Delectable bites available throughout the night included a burger bar, taco bar, chicken skewers, macaroni & cheese, summer spinach and strawberry salad with champagne vinaigrette and scrumptious mini brownies that kept the EBONY fam going back for more!
Lush-worthy libations were sponsored by Martini & Rossi, who provided refreshing sparkling rose, as well as 3 Kilos Vodka, whose beautiful gold bottles decorated the space as well as provided a smooth mixer throughout the evening.
What’s a party without a few bops? From hip hop to dancehall to soul, DJ DXP kept the party going with the likes of Nicki Minaj, Drake and Cardi B while showing love to the classics as well. Seriously, what’s a kickback without a little “Poisoooooonn,” *BBD voice!
EBONY welcomed representatives from the biggest names in business to let their hair down for the evening as well. Reps for brands such as Revlon, Elizabeth Arden, Alvin Ailey, L’oreal, Lancome, Marriott Hotels, Shea Moisture, Visa, Coca Cola and others all shared in the seasonal celebration.
EBONY would love to thank Cloves & Lace, Martini & Rossi, 3 Kilos Vodka, DJ DXP and photographer M. Cameron Crew for capturing the night’s festivities. We’d also like to thank every single guest and client in attendance who made our “Hello Summer” mixer so successful!
Lastly, much love to EBONY’s own Ashley Jamison, who worked tirelessly to pull it all off without a hitch!
