Winter often gets the fashion shaft. You’re completely covered up and stuck in a four-month state of hibernation. Alas, there is a weary weather staple that is finally getting it’s just due – the graphic pullover.  The pullover was all the rage on the Fall 12’ runways, design houses like 3.1 Phillip Lim and Balenciaga did this tomboy-inspired trend some justice without looking as though they just rummaged through Bill Cosby’s closet.  So keeping in that same spirit, I have chosen a few of my favorite graphic knits, which I think are sure to jazz up a winter wonderland-bound outfit!

The Go-To Graphic Pullover: Oh Stussy, how you make me smile!  This cozy graphic hoodie is simple enough to pair with a pair of jeans on casual days, yet its simplistic print allows for it to transform into a more elegant look. I wore this piece with a fitted long black pencil skirt and no one questioned my gear when I took it out for night on the town. The deep gray paired with a contrasting white print allows freedom in respect to it being wearable.  And P.S, the front pockets are just another added bonus in functionality, so mix it up!

The Full-Monty Graphic Camo Pullover: How can a girl say no to a hybrid mix of camo and animal print? It’s virtually impossible. And with a matching Crooks & Castles pom pom hat… it’s wintry mix heaven! So clearly this pullover isn’t for the faint of heart, it’s more or less for the trend risk taker. Don’t try to do camo on the bottom as well, it will be overkill. Keep it simple and wear a black legging or a dark denim jean. You don’t want print overload!

The Playful yet Slightly Sexy Pullover: So this Rebel Yell knit comes in a very soft and light fabrication which ever so gently falls off the shoulder. I wore it with a pleated white leather skirt, which seemed like a perfect match. I suggest rocking this one with winter skirts or shorts and of course tights. It gives that “I’m innocently sexy without even trying” vibe – but don’t ruin it by wearing a thigh high boot, go simple with a riding boot or wedge.

So regardless of the occasion, stay warm yet cool in a graphic hoodie all winter long!
