Friday May 9th marked Grey Goose Vodka’s kick-off event for the Manhattan Cocktail Classic, which featured the launch of its newest flavor, Le Melon. The star-studded event was held beneath the Celeste Bartos Forum at the New York Public Library, and was done in grand style! With a red carpet greeting, celebs and influencers gathered for a Le Bal Masque (a themed masquerade ball).

The soundtrack for the evening was courtesy of international DJ Mick, the legendary QuestLove who was accompanied by a few members of the Roots crew, and a performance by Grammy award-winning rapper Big Boi. While currently on his 20th anniversary tour with Andre 3000, the Atlanta MC assured us that everything is moving along like clockwork for the legendary duo. “The tour’s going great. Twenty years of hard work and dedicated fans – we’re just out there smashing s—t, for sure!” Outkast began their plan of 40 schedule tour dates with a performance at Coachella. With this being the first performance for the duo in years, it seemed as though something was missing from a typical ATLiens show. “Nah, there wasn’t any rust; we just needed to get out there and do what we do best,” said Big Boi. “We were still ironing out the kinks of the show and now that we’ve got it streamlined, it’s unstoppable!” Sir Lucious Leftfoot then proceeded to apply that unstoppable energy in an on-stage performance for the very elegantly attired crowd.

Among the crowd was Chef Roble, who was very excited for the event. “I’ve done a good amount of work with Grey Goose, who’s a great brand. I also know that if they’re throwing a party, it’s definitely going to be good!” The celebrity chef was followed by another vodka enthusiast, as Tahiry Jose stopped by to share a few thoughts on the star-studded gala. “Look at where we’re at – you know it’s a major event! I’m a Grey Goose lover and a vodka girl,” the Love & Hip-Hop star added. “I walked in and the vibe was sexy, and everyone is well dressed. It’s really exquisite. Shout to Grey Goose, they did an amazing job!”

With a list of GREY GOOSE signature cocktails that included the GREY GOOSE Le Melon Fizz, Bayonne Old Fashioned, Cavaillon Manhattan, and the GREY GOOSE Le Melon Mule, there wasn’t a better word to describe the event. The cavaillon melon infused vodka was made available for purchase on Thursday May 1st.
