Selena Gomez and Andy Samberg recently spoke to EBONY’s Jaleesa Lashay about their new movie, Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation, but not before briefly commenting about President Donald Trump’s recent immigration policy that separated children from their parents along the southern border of the U.S.

“I’ve definitely experienced things within my family,” Gomez said. “At the end of the day, I am glad that most of them were reunited. It’s very uncomfortable. It’s just not necessary.”

Samberg  added that the policy was a “nightmare.”

The two talked about what they learned from their characters and the importance of taking time off.
