Idris Elba Admits Anger Issues Caused Problems Early in His Relationship

In a recent episode of his podcast, Coupledom, with his wife Sabrina Elba, Idris Elba confessed that his unmanaged anger issues resulted in turbulence early in their dating relationship. “Sabrina and I, very early in our relationship I was very stressed so I had these massive anger tantrums that were like explosions. She was like, ‘Who are you?'" Elba confessed. "‘I was always the first to say, ‘Hey, if you’re not happy, leave. Move.’ It was kind of like a male instinct.” The pair have since found their way and are now in a "good place."

The makers of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine say that it protects against the Delta variant of coronavirus, The New York Times reports. Testing showed that the vaccine showed a "small drop" of potency against the variant.

Justice Department Places Moratorium on Federal Executions

Thursday, Attorney General Merrick B. Garland announced a moratorium on federal executions while the Justice Department policies and procedures are under review, The New York Times reports.

“The Department of Justice must ensure that everyone in the federal criminal justice system is not only afforded the rights guaranteed by the Constitution and laws of the United States, but is also treated fairly and humanely,” Garland expressed in a memo. “That obligation has special force in capital cases.”

SoHo Karen Charged in Hotel Attack

Miya Ponsetto, the 22-year-old woman dubbed "SoHo Karen," has been charged with a hate crime after she falsely accused a Black teenager of stealing her cell phone last December. Footage of the incident showed Ponsetto tackling the teen in the lobby of a Manhattan hotel. Ponsetto was charged with two counts of unlawful imprisonment in the second degree as a hate crime, aggravated harassment in the second degree, and endangering the welfare of a child according to ABC News. She pled not guilty to the charges.
