Idris Elba has been bitten by the love bug one more time, as the handsome Brit just proposed marriage to girlfriend Sabrina Dhowre on Saturday at Rio Cinema in London. He popped the question during the screening of his directorial debut, Yardie, according to ABC News.
The engagement comes shortly after the actor told Essence that he never wanted to marry again following two divorces.
“Am I ever gonna get remarried? I don’t think so. Yeah, I don’t think so,” he told the magazine last July. “Marriage is an institution of sorts. And I’ve done it. It’s not for everybody. It’s not my life’s calling.”
Clearly, his model girlfriend-turned-fiancee was worth giving love one more try. Congrats to the happy couple!
