Fans of "The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl" can finally rejoice. Issa Rae will finally be receiving her time to shine on network television. TV titan Shonda Rhimes, creator of ABC's "Grey's Anatomy," "Private Practice," and "Scandal," is teaming up with the the popular newcomer to create the scripted comedy series "I Hate L.A. Dudes," a new series written by Issa Rae and recently sold to ABC.

According to a reported synopsis, "'I Hate L.A. Dudes' centers on an aspiring journalist, new to Los Angeles, who becomes the lone female voice on a budding, male-driven Internet talk show, while learning to decode the often humiliating and exasperating rules of the LA dating scene." Rhimes will be executive producing the series through her production company Shondaland, displaying a new move into comedy after establishing the company in hit dramas.
