Just a month after canceling the rest of her Unbreakable World Tour to focus on planning a family, Janet Jackson is expecting her first child, ET reports.

In April, Jackson, who turns 50 on May 16, released a video informing fans she was taking a break from the stage because she had to “rest up.”

While it wasn’t clear at the time if the singer was attempting to get pregnant, already expecting, or preparing herself for the process, it now seems like she was conserving her energy to be a mom.

Jackson is notoriously private about her personally life, so many felt her statement on taking time off to plan a family meant something big was on the horizon. And now it looks like they were right.

Jackson married her husband Wissam Al Mana back in 2012 and kept their marital status under wraps until 2013. This will be the couple’s first child.
