Jennifer Williams, an original cast member of VH1's Basketball Wives, is reportedly returning to Season Eight of the reality series despite unresolved conflict from the previous season, according to The Jasmine Brand.
The reality star was a main cast member during the first four seasons of the series, starting in 2010. Williams appeared on the show as a recurring guest during Season Six before being reinstated for the seventh season in May 2017.
She had a massive falling out with numerous castmates, including Malaysia Pargo, executive producer Shaunie O’Neal and her former best friend, Evelyn Lozada.
During the season, Tami Roman claimed Williams spread a rumor alleging Lozada had slept with Shaunie’s ex-husband, retired NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal. The news caused a strain among the involved parties.
The accusation caused Lozada to become emotional, but her former best friend refused to address the issue. Pargo became so overwhelmed with anger that she flipped over a table in Williams' direction before being calmed down by her peers.
After the threat of violence, Williams opted out of the Season Seven reunion. “After having a table being thrown at me, I just didn’t feel like I needed to be there,” she said about the reunion in a September 2018 interview with The Breakfast Club. “I just want to clarify the reunion was being filmed on a Sunday and my attorney sent a letter on Friday.”
Since then, there has been speculation regarding her return to the show, especially since it was reported that Shaunie had her fired. Stay tuned for more updates on the forthcoming season of Basketball Wives.
