Traditional Gif and keyboard apps may be mildly amusing, but Actor and Activist Jesse Williams and his wife, Aryn Drake-Lee, have taken Gif applications to the next unapologetically Black level with Ebroji.

Not satisfied with the mundane and regurgitated categories for apps, the couple’s app uses Gif categories such as “Blackness,” “Feelin Myself,” “Black Girl Magic,” “Guurl,” “Dat Azz,” “DAAAM,” “YAAAS,” F*ck Yo Couch” and more!

Williams brings the fun by using Gifs that are contemporary and socially relevant to 20 and 30 something year olds.

One of the things we love so much about Williams is his activism, and Ebroji is an extension of that. His use of common Black phrases as categories is an indication of his social awareness in real life. Jesse Williams is hip with it, and that makes his app even more appealing.

Ebroji is intuitive and simple to use. Once installed, users can upload Gifs to social media and text messages. One drawback of the app is that you cannot create memes, only Gifs. However, the Gifs are so hilarious that there’s no need for memes when you use the app. Although originally created for IOS, Ebroji can now be downloaded by Android users as well. I can’t see myself uninstalling mine anytime soon. I’m having way too much fun with this.
