Jill Scott is sick of her estranged husband, Mike Dobson, speaking out about the demise of their relationship, and has been granted a gag order that should keep him quiet, at least for now.
TMZ reports the “Golden” singer filed documents claiming her soon-to-be-ex has been trashing her name to the public since their separation, with an endgame of hustling more money out of her than he’s owed.
The singer cites a Bossip interview where he called her “an evil woman” and threatened to “fight dirty.”
In addition to airing out their dirty laundry to the media, Scott accuses Dobson of disparaging her name to friends and family as well. When she confronted him about his comments, she claims he admitted to going on a smear campaign as revenge for her filing to end their brief marriage. The couple has been married for 19 months.
Dobson is attempting to have their prenuptial agreement thrown out as well as demanding $500,000 for “pain and suffering. He believes the prenup he signed with Ms. Scott is invalid because he didn’t have a lawyer and felt coerced, but did so anyway because he loved the Philly songstress.
Scott was previously married to Lyzel Williams from 2001 to 2007 and was also once engaged to musician Lil John Roberts, with whom she shares son, Jett.
