Get Out was undoubtedly a blockbuster, with its creator, Jordan Peele, cleverly confronting race in a way we’d never seen on the big screen.
His next project appears to fall into the same category, as the filmmaker and his Monkeypaw Productions are producing The Hunt, a drama series inspired by true events.
The series follows a band of Nazi hunters in the 1970s as they set out on to kill hundreds of Nazis who, with the help of the U.S. government, escaped justice and embedded themselves into American society, according to TheJasmineBrand.
Peele will serve as executive producer and is currently shopping the show to several networks. Reportedly, various streaming services and cable networks are already interested in the series.
Monkeypaw Productions produced the Emmy-winning Key & Peele for Comedy Central during its five-season run, and will also work with comedian Tracy Morgan on his upcoming TBS series, The Last O.G, co-created by Peele.
The comic-turned-horror-film director will also be teaming up with Spike Lee on a new project entitled Black Klansman, which is based on the true story of Ron Stallworth, an African-American police officer who infiltrated the Ku Klux Klan in the late 1970s.
