During the Season 42 premiere of Saturday Night Live last weekend, comedian Michael Che referred to President Donald Trump as a cheap cracker for his apparent refusal to send aid to Puerto Rico. On Sunday, MSNBC AM Joy host Joy Reid was forced to check former congressman Joe Walsh for equating Che’s use of “cracker with the use of “n**ger.”

While “cracker” is considered a racially derogatory term, it lacks the abhorrent and gut-wrenching history behind “n**ger.”

Which is why the sharp-witted political commentator had zero patience for Walsh’s eagerness to reverse the scenario on his Twitter page less than 24 hours after the SNL sketch.
