By now, we've all probably heard about the insanely racist joke about Barack Obama that Montana judge Richard Cebull emailed to his friends last month. And, as those caught with their hands in the racist cookie jar are wont to do, Cebull is on his "apology tour" right now. He plans to send a formal apology to President Obama, and it wouldn't be a surprise if he turned up on MSNBC or CNN in the next few days, expressing his heartfelt regret.

While this avalanche of apology is expected— the man does want to keep his job — you can't help but wonder how genuine it is. Is he apologizing because he realizes the error of his ways and the hurt he may have caused, or is he apologizing because his behind got caught?
