Baby, Keke Palmer now has a baby! The entertainer recently took to social media to announce that she and boyfriend Darius Jackson welcomed a healthy baby boy, Leodis Andrellton Jackson, into the world on Feb. 25, 2023. This is the first child for the couple.
In her post, Palmer shared a carousel of adorable photos of the newborn, as well as videos and photos showcasing the emotions that she and Jackson have experienced in the first 48 hours of being new parents.
"Only 48 hours of being new parents," Palmer says on her Instagram post that has garnered over 2 million likes in less than 24 hours. "Darius always made me playlists when we first started dating, "Someone" by El Debarge was a favorite. We became each other's someone and made a someone, look at God!"
"Born during Black History Month, with a name to match!," she adds in the IG post. "Welcome to the world, baby Leo."
Since announcing her pregnancy while hosting SNL on Dec. 3, 2022, the actress has kept fans and followers abreast of her journey into motherhood. She nearly broke the internet when she released her first official pregnancy photo, that featured the star in an artistic, futuristic-themed image while dawning a piece of yellow fabric perfectly draped across her body. And yes, the belly was on full display.
The couple followed the photo op with images from their stunning yet simple baby shower in late January. Palmer posed in front of a neutral-toned backdrop while wearing a beige ribbed tank top dress, as she cradled her growing belly. Jackson also wore similar tones, and kissed the mother-to-be's forehead as she smiled in bliss.
"A long time ago, in a land not so far, the king and queen got together to play," the baby shower caption reads. "The play turned to love as many sunsets passed by. Now there's a prince, who's soon to arrive."
She and Jackson truly have a fun relationship and their journey has always been on their own terms. From their relaxing babymoon getaway to the fun videos of Palmer dancing around her home while awaiting Baby Leodis' arrival, fans have been able to go on the ride right along with the first-time parents.
