Former The Game actress Lauren London will soon be back on her home network. BET has cast the ATL star in new drama series Games Divas Play (working title), according to Deadline.

London will star alongside My Wife and Kids alumna Parker McKenna Posey and Karen Obilom, known for her roles on Insecure and NCIS: New Orleans. Created and executive produced by Tracey Edmonds, the hour-long scripted drama began production on the 10-episode season November 29 in Los Angeles.

Posey took to Instagram to share the great news:

“I’ve had many ups & downs in this crazy career I’ve chosen but now I finally understand why & how I got to be apart of this amazing opportunity!”

She went on, “I love my cast, I love the production team, and the crew!!! We’ve only shot one episode & I honestly can’t wait to finish off the rest of the season! This is a project I truly believe in & I am over joyed to be apart of! I’m in love with my character & can’t wait for you all to meet Laila ❤️ thank you @iamrobireed@traceyeedmonds @bet and many more for believing in my talent & seeing a little bit of Laila in me 😼. #2019 is about to be lit! STAY TUNED.

Games Divas Play is based on the popular book of the same name written by Angela Burt-Murray. The series is described by Deadline as “a sexy, stylized drama about the L.A. high life, where everyone plays to win. A desperate basketball wife (London) trying to protect her family, a tenacious journalist (Obilom) struggling to rebuild a tarnished career, and a scandalous groupie (Posey) looking to become a star, find it’s murder trying to stay on top.”

Emmy-nominated television writer Vanessa Middleton (SNL, The Cosby Show, Girlfriends) wrote the pilot and will serve as executive producer alongside Edmonds, Burt-Murray and Kim Newton, known for her work on Gotham and The Blacklist.
