As Adele stated in her tear jerking speech at the 59th annual Grammys, Sunday night, Beyoncé’s album Lemonade “was monumental and so well thought out, and so beautiful and soul-bearing.”
And for that, we’re still confused as to how she was robbed out of winning “Album of the Year” during the big ceremony.
Lemonade marked an heightened space of creativity and expression for the Houston-bred entertainer. We’ve applauded the poetic tone and storytelling written by Warsan Sire. Saturday night, Hannah Bleacher, another gifted talent was recognized for her artistic contribution to the visual production of the album.
Beachler was honored with the “Excellence in Production Design for Awards or Event Special” during the Art Directors Guild Awards.
“I am so honored to be recognized for this unique project,” the creative stated during her acceptance speech. “I loved designing for a strong woman of color on such a bold, original artistic expression.”
Lemonade isn’t the first time you’ve seen Beachler’s design work. The skilled visionary also worked on award-winning film Moonlight, Creed and Don Cheadle’s Miles Ahead.
In 2016, she was nominated for a Creative Arts Emmy in honor of her work on Beyoncé’s visual and audio appealing album.
Beachler, who is represented by Dattner Dispoto and Associates (DDA) is reuniting with filmmaker Ryan Coogler for Marvel’s Black Panther!
