Lena Waithe, 34, will appear in Season Three of HBO’s acclaimed sci-fi series, Westworld.

According to Deadline, the premium cable network confirmed the news on Friday but shared no details about her role on the upcoming season.

Waithe made history as the first Black woman to win an Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series Emmy, awarded for her work on Netflix’s Master of None.

She is the creator and executive produer of Showtime’s The Chi, which is currently airing its second season, and a writer on BET’s Boomerang.

Waithe appeared in the Steven Spielberg-directed film Ready Player One. and has acting credits in TV series including Dear White People, Transparent and This Is Us.

Production for Westworld's third season began earlier this month. The series is expected to return in 2020.
