Yesterday, Oprah Winfrey took home the most prestigious honor at the Golden Globes: the Cecil B. DeMille Award.
The media mogul, gave a very moving speech to which she not only reminded us all that “Speaking your truth is the most powerful too we all have.”
She also reignited calls for her to run for president in 2020 and guess what? The Iowa director of former president Barack Obama’s re-election campaign has a message for Ms. Winfrey.
“Call me @Oprah,” he tweeted. “I’ve got some Iowa county chairs who would love to hear from you.”

During her acceptance speech, Winfrey addressed sexual harassment in Hollywood.
“For too long, women have not been heard or believed if they dared to speak their truth to the power of those men,” Winfrey said. “But their time is up. Their time is up!”
After the show, Winfrey said in an interview that she does not have plans to run for president.
But on Monday, CNN reported that two of Winfrey’s friends told the news network that she is “actively thinking” about running for president in two years.
