President Barack Obama Highway could be a reality.

Ronald Reagan Memorial Highway in Jacksonville, Fla., is already named after one past president. A portion of Delray Beach’s State Road is named after another: first President George Bush.

But according to the Tampa Bay Times, lawmakers in the state are considering naming one of its highways after former commander in chief Barack Obama.

State Rep. Patricia Williams, (D-Lauderdale Lakes), filed HB 265 in an effort to designate part of Dixie Highway or State Road 811 in Broward County between Hillsboro Boulevard and Northeast 13th President Barack Obama Highway.

The introduction of the proposed bill is fairly new, so there’s no word on how it is being perceived by the state’s congressional body.
