Is GPS All In Our Head

Humans relying on technology to survive is no new concept. From indoor plumbing to pasteurization, there have been numerous technological advances that have improved our quality of life and extended our projected lifespan. But, we've entered an era where we've created things that add to our human stressors instead of lessoning them. And, while some of these objects may add convenience to our lives, this "convenience" is largely fabricated, counter-productive, and comical. (Raise your hand if you've ever caught the elevator to a gym to spend 30 minutes on a stairmaster, or if you've spent more time looking for an address on your GPS than it actually took to drive there.)

This begs the question(s), is the technoolgy we use evolving at a faster pace than our ability to understand it? If so, what does that mean for us?
