Janet Jackson is taking her STATE OF THE WORLD tour to Houston, Texas, and the star announced she will have a special surprise for fans who were hit by Hurricane Harvey.

PEOPLE reports the star took to Twitter Wednesday to confirm that she will still be performing in the city despite the devastation experienced by the area as a result of the hurricane and storm.

“We’re going to roll in early because we wanted to visit some of the shelters,” she said. “And not just visit some of the shelters, we also want to do something special. So, we’ll see you Friday!”

Last week, Hurricane Harvey forced residents of Texas to seek shelter across the regions as floodwaters overtook entire communities. At least 49,000 homes were damaged in the state, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

In sum, roughly 785,000 people were ordered to follow mandatory evacuations in Texas and Louisiana. More than 200,000 homes are still left without power.
