More than five decades ago, Lisa McNair’s life changed forever when her sister, Denise McNair, died during a church bombing executed by members of the KKK at 16th Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama in 1963.

Denise was just 11 years old when she died along with three other Black girls at the place of worship.

Now, her younger sister, Lisa, is returning to the site of the attack in an effort to remind people of the historically tragic event’s place in civil rights history.
