They say food feeds the soul and over at Brooklyn’s Pink Tea Cup restaurant, soul food is definitely what you’ll get. A family owned business established in 1954, the Pink Tea Cup was initially located in the heart of the West Village, NYC, but moved into the trendy Fort Greene neighborhood to be closer to their most loyal customers and new generation of foodies.
Since relocating, owner Chef Lawrence Page is on a mission to elevate his hip Brooklyn soul food restaurant and is giving outsiders a glimpse into his world on WE tv’s new culinary docuseries Hustle & Soul.
Each week, viewers will watch as Page struggles to keep his wild staff in line as drama, jealousy, power struggles and love triangles get in the way of his dream.
In the series premiere of the show, which airs tonight at 10 p.m. EST, Page already has his hands full with an unorganized staff, a jealous girlfriend and…chicken and waffles. Check out an exclusive clip below.
