Ever feel like that last martini or nacho you had will just not unleash itself from your body? If so, it's probably time to detox! Our bodies always give us signs to let us know when it's time to readjust. This super detox salad is an excellent way to load your body with restorative nutrients that will aid in better digestion, skin, and energy. Best of all, it really only requires chopping a few things up and throwing them into a big bowl. Drink it down with a glass of warm water with lemon to really have your digestive system yelling all kinds of 'thank you's.' Remember: be good to your body, and it will be good to you!


juice of 1/2 lemon

4 tbsp organic extra virgin olive oil

1 lg clove of garlic, finely minced, not pressed

pinch of salt and pepper

1/2 tsp maple syrup-both are optional


1 cup of salad greens (romaine, butter lettuce, etc)

1 handful of kale

1 handful of spinach

1 handful of parsley

1/2 carrot, grated or cubed

1/2 stalk of celery

1/2 avocado, sliced

1/2 green apple, tossed in lemon juice to prevent from browning

Throw everything into a bowl, mix and enjoy!
