The Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture has launched a Twitter campaign in conjunction with Smithsonian Folkways Recordings to offer a new set of rewards to meet its Anthology of Hip-Hop and Rap kickstarter goal.

Currently, the Smithsonian is aiming to make the Anthology of Hip-Hop and Rap a reality and so far it has met 70 percent of its $250,000 kickstarter funding goal.

The new rewards will include two portraits from artists Keith Haring, as well as a Smithsonian Cypher. On Friday at 11:30AM EST, several museums will take to the social networking site to take turns on the Twitter mic.

As for the prints, both are signed by photographer Janette Beckman, of street artist Keith Haring. Each will be bundled with a copy of the Anthology, along with other rewards at the $1,500 level.

Beckman’s photographs of hip hop artist will be featured  in the Anthology. She personally donated the prints to the kickstarter campaign.
