The couple met at a New Year’s Eve party in 1998. Chanel says, “I wasn’t bitten immediately by the love bug like he was, but once I got bitten, oh boy.”

Chanel describes her husband as a giver. "He's such a sweet person, he makes sure everyone is taken care of."
An African king, Tony’s father has 58 children and 8 wives. Tony desires the singular love of his life. “I have so much pride, I believe that a woman has to earn [my love]. The only woman who has ever done that is Chanel.”
The Ubohs love to give. Whether just making it or thriving financially, they make it happen.

“Sometimes I feel bad because I’m not as expressive as he is. I’m not going to bust out and say, ‘My husband is the best, better than all the rest!’ ” But, she believes he is.

Annually, the Ubohs host a big celebration on the Emerald Coast. “We love it there. It’s beautiful. And we want all our friends and family with us.”
The Ubohs drop Jalen off at college.
Now a freshman at Kennesaw State University, Jalen has started a budding business providing late-night snacks to students. “We are so proud of him.”

Chanel says, “We are blessed. Our kids are great students. They’re good kids all around.”

Cindy Wright, who proposed the family for this series, says, “People look at what they’ve accomplished but they don’t know what they went through to get there. I’m thrilled with their success. And they are so much fun!”
