Not all gifts are created equal, and if you’re still racking your brain over what to buy that special someone for Valentine’s Day, you’re in luck.

According to a survey conducted by the mobile banking startup Varo Money, a romantic dinner tops the list of gifts that will most likely lead to romance. In fact, 39 percent of respondents agreed with the gift choice.

A press release sent to EBONY on the study also revealed that 38 percent of those surveyed cited a weekend getaway as the perfect gift, while 32 percent of respondents chose quality time.

A fun night out on the town racked up 27 percent of respondents preferences, and 20 percent felt a spa or massage package was the perfect gift.

The survey also noted Americans’ least favorite gift for romance.

Forty-five percent of those surveyed listed power tools as a no; 35 percent stated that a video game console was not first, second, third or fourth choice; and tickets to a sporting event garnered 27 percent of the vote from respondents.

Other more surprising choices that fall in the least-desirable romantic gifts category include a shopping spree (15 percent) and expensive jewelry and accessories (10 percent).

Varo Money has a video series, Money Diaries, on YouTube that is committed to telling the stories of millennials who are following their passions and attempting to make a difference in the world.
