I don’t know if the Greeks were cracking a joke by having a goddess of war and strategy also be a god of wisdom. Or perhaps they were relaying a deeper message with Athena. Wisdom comes from resistance and the strategy to fight right. You’re called to fight right this week rather than fight for the right to fight or fight to be right. Aquarians Frederick Douglass and Rosa Parks, though a century apart, fought their causes because the causes were right. I’ve been talking to you for a minute about avoiding petty skirmishes, so there’s nothing new that way. But now I’m call-ing on you to use your wisdom, not your might or even your considerable intellect. Wisdom is different. Wisdom cares both about how something happens and the net result. It’s courage with knowledge, tempered by compassion. Hang on to that com-passion.
