Aquarius (January 21st to February 18th)

Don’t take any metaphorical hostages. There’s a good reason for that, and I’m not really appealing to your humanitarian side. Hostages are work; and most likely at the end of the day, they’re not worth the hassle. They’re unpredictable and set you up for unpredictable outcomes. Um, I’m not talking from literal experience here, so no worries. But you only have to follow hostage scenarios from the last 30 years to know that. The same could be true if you’re taking co-workers, ideas, projects, memos, whatever, “hostage” in order to make a point. Hostage taking, for the record, is when you hold up the life of someone or something that doesn’t belong to you for a ransom or to make a point. You may forget how willful you are, Waterbearer, believing so much of the hype that you’re all “live and let live.” That’s true most of the time, until you’re happy hippiness becomes an angry hippo about something. You don’t have to go too far to make a point, though.
