A lot of ink is spilled about you as a humanitarian. I’m not saying it’s not true. But your humanitarianism might have limits. There’s a lot of ways to read that, but one way I see the cosmos reading that this week is how you might deal with the word “thankless.” Most humanitarian jobs are often framed as thankless.  That’s probably a load of crap. A lot of jobs are “thankless.” We only notice the thankless part with certain jobs where someone should be thanked, I guess. I wouldn’t bill a tax collector as a humanitarian job, but it’s most likely thankless. We like to believe that the tax money is a benefit to a greater whole. The real thanks come in both that belief and the intended benefit. Unfortunately, those two things don’t often line up simultaneously. Trust that the cosmos may thank you, in its own way, without catching too many feelings about the “thankless” part.
