Taurus [April 20th to May 21st]
#MeTime: This week ends with a full moon that’s venerated the world over as the Buddha’s birthday and as a symbol of his enlightenment. Enlightenment is a perfect word as it’s a full moon, right? Most places it’s called Wesak. As the moon settles into Scorpio, your opposite sign, you’re challenged to release your attachment to YOUR sense of how the world works and see it in a wider view. But you could become more entrenched if you’re not up for this release—more convinced that you’re right and instead setting up what’s called a confirmation bias for your sense of reality. How to get out of that mind-loop? A simple suggestion: ask as many questions about how you or someone else sees things as you entertain statements of how you think things really are.
#Heartstrings: The moon starts off the week in Leo, at the side of your Zodiac Lounge table that deals with hearth and home. You often like to rule your roost, but you might be ruling this week with a particularly heavy hand. I know you don’t mean any harm, but what makes sense for you isn’t and doesn’t have to make sense to everybody. As a wise Taurus said to me some twenty years ago, “Everybody’s entitled to a life.” You may think you know what’s best for a loved one, but you have to be willing to let him or her discover the beauty of the best (or the worse) on his/her own terms. You attempting to prevent something or to have something happen will likely only make matters worse.
#MoneyMoves: As the week hurdles toward your Buddha moon, you may or may not achieve enlightenment; but you certainly have the opportunity to act enlightened. However, let me modify an original statement made at the wiki Wesak site for it to read like this: “This is how Bulls are expected to celebrate Vesak—to use the opportunity to reiterate their determination to lead noble lives, to develop their minds, to practice loving-kindness and to bring peace and harmony to humanity.” Share your light, time, and your wealth. You’re heading toward a culmination point next week that pushes you more toward being your better and most generous self. You might as well start this week.
