A teenage boy in my mosque likes to tell us nightly stories. Last week, he told the story of how three boys knocked on the door of a famous sheikh to learn from him. How does the sheikh reward the boys for their quest for knowledge? He lets his dog out to chase them away. However, one of the boys returned the following week, still determined to learn something. This time the Sheikh opens the door to let him in. The Sheikh wanted to be sure he had a student with perseverance. Looking at your week ahead reminds me of this story.
