Virgo (August 22nd to September 21st)

This week Mercury, your patron planet, does this really cool thing that it does only about three times a year. It has an inferior conjunction with the Sun, disappearing into what classical astrologers call “the throne room of the King (or Queen).” I visualize that in your life as being a moment where you suspend all your fears, worries, hang-ups and criticisms and just enjoy the beauty of Presence. Not to sound all woo-woo on you, but Presence is when you just feel the power of being, keenly aware of your mess and your majesty.  In those moments, there’s nothing to fix.  Your greatest folly is also your greatest genius. You fix things, but you think you can fix everything, including yourself by yourself. When you’re in the Presence, however you get there—by meditation, sitting by water, or looking at paint peel—you can only be present, observing things as they are, without the constant strain to fix something up.
