Virgo [August 22nd to September 21st]
#MeTime: Impending Mercury retrogrades are usually more fitful for children of Mercury than most. This is mostly true because y’all tend to lean on Mercury too much, using his love for detail and processing over other functions like using your gut (the Moon) or trusting what you’re magnetically pulled to (Venus) without analyzing the reasons for it. The great thing about having Jupiter and Venus be in Gemini, another sign of Mercury right now, is that it will continue to stoke your love of learning and curiosity. Let that love guide you, into what rabbit holes you need to find.
#Heartstrings: Uranus, the planet that helps us appreciate the genius of the moment, also goes retrograde this week. He does this in a section of your personal skyspace that perhaps parallels your own questioning about the legacy you’re leaving for others and whether you’ve brought enough change & innovation in the world. We might not put as much stock into this kind of thing with lovers as much as for children, for instance. That makes sense, but memories in the minds of our beloveds are just as important for our own personal citadels of immortality. Commit to building a memory with a loved one now. It’s also possible that lovers from the past could also surface, but they’re bringing the same message: your past can be your future, your future can become a sacred past; but it’s all decided right now.
#MoneyMoves: As I think about Mercury going retrograde in Leo this week, at the place of your Zodiac Lounge table that deals with the cumulative results of your recent efforts, I think of this quote by Pisces Erma Bombeck: When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, I used everything you gave me.” Perhaps you fear that this won’t happen. Then let that fear push you headlong into better realizing how you can use every shred of talent you got for the good of all over the next three weeks of Mercury’s moonwalk. I’m confident you’ll be richer for it.
