Aries (March 21st to April 19th)

Although you have the charge and energy of a new moon to boost you farther into your season, be careful not to push the envelope too far with what you expect from others, whether at home or in the work place. Generally, you’re in good spirits this week, even ebullient at times. At your best, this can be inspiring and in the right environment, like a party where you’ll be the one who will keep the dance floor hot all night long. At your worst, however, you could take yourself too seriously. This could become even a greater issue if you’re the boss or have people reporting to you. If you’re a true possessor of power, then trust that you rock and rule. You don’t have to think that someone’s treading into your domain on first sight. It might be better to think that your enthusiasm is just infectious.

Taurus (April 20th to May 21st)

The most frustrating part of this week could be sensing you’re ready for change, but you don’t know how. Or perhaps change has already landed on your doorstep, but you have no idea if you can follow through with all that’s required. The core of the problem is doubt. Unfortunately, you don’t have a lot of use for doubt in general. Trusting that the ground beneath you is exactly where you need to be and where you will stay is what moves you. That’s until there’s an earthquake. This is exactly what’s happening now. So waiting for the how and giving unnecessary street cred to doubt aren’t going to work. You’ll have to tap deep into your sense of faith that the ground will settle, and you will again be able to trust that you’re on ground sanctioned just for you.

Gemini  (May 21st to June 20th)

As you open up to a newer reality for your life, you’re unfurling like the petals of a flower. Be excited, but don’t rush this process—and there are real ways you could do that this week. For starters, you could spend money you don’t have (yet) based on the promise of earning more from another job or the expectation of a raise. Stick to the facts, Gemini, and what you actually have in your hand. It’s okay to plan for what you’ll do next, as you have been, but making big moves without evidence is asking for trouble—real quick. You’ll find better success with allowing yourself to speculate about what you’ll do next once you reach a certain benchmark. For instance, think more about what are some possible questions an interviewer could ask you at a second interview rather than what you’ll do with the money at that new job…that you don’t have yet.

Cancer  (June 21st to July 21st)

You’re ready to put your grown folks clothes on and do something big. I say, “About time!” The Sun heats up growth-inducing Jupiter, signaling you’re ready to grow and take a chance somehow.  You might think this is risky, but you have to remember something about yourself. You’re built to be risk-adverse, actually. So when you get to the point of taking risks, you’ve likely been mulling it over for a while. This ain’t a crazy thoughtless venture we’re talking about here.  But don’t get it twisted: growth and change often don’t come without some measure of resistance. So the resistance could also begin this week. Just as you’re marshaling yourself to go big, crises could erupt that attempt to hold you back. These are not necessarily signs that you’re on the wrong course. They’re signs that negativity ain’t ready to let you go.

Leo  (July 22nd to August 21st)

In the story of King Solomon, we can see one of the archetypal visions of Leo. It seems only natural to focus on the regal image of the fabled King, but there’s another aspect to his story that you could play out this week. It’s the story of how the King transforms more into a teacher of wisdom later in life. He’s learned to focus more on his spiritual life rather than the vanities of what the world has to offer. You have a teacher like that in you, Leo. Your story isn’t even mostly about how you rule or prance around as you’re usually caricatured. It’s how, like the Sun, you see the light of life reflected in everything and how everything has its place if you only allow yourself to see it. If you allow yourself to see that beauty from others, there’s no way that you’ll be distracted by the vanity or failings of your own.

Virgo (August 22nd to September 21st)

This is likely one of those weeks when you’ll have to care enough not to care. This means you’ll have to get to a place of non-attachment to the results, but clear focus on why you’re doing what you’re doing. In this week’s particular case, you may have to be willing to face the consternation of a friend or a group to maintain your conviction or principled stand on something. Initially, you may think you’ll lose out, but that’s when you need to not care about the fallout and do you. If you get caught up in fearing what you’ll lose, you’re likely to lose more and gain very little, ultimately. Near the end of the week, fortunately, you’ll see the wisdom of your stance. In fact, things could take a surprising enough turn that you’ll be happy you weren’t attached to the results.

Libra (September 22nd to October 21st)

The great thing about you is that you’re always looking to take the high road. The problem is that sometimes you mistake what the high road actually is. Let’s start with what it may not be. The high road may not be what keeps the peace or stokes the ego of a partner. It’s also conceivably not going to be what makes you seem nice. It doesn’t have to make you appear tough either. Ultimately, the high road is where you’re willing to stand up for your interests and still be kind. For instance, you might have an argument with a co-worker about his or her breach of protocol. You could think the high road is to apologize first. It’s not. You apologize first when you’ve done something wrong, not when someone has broken established rules.

Scorpio (October 22nd to November 21st)

As much as we say “the devil is in the details,” we seem to forget that God is there too. This week the real testament of how and where you have experienced growth in your character will come out in the details.  It may or may not be what others could describe as a huge crisis. And even if it is a crisis, this defining reflection of your character won’t be so much about making a right or wrong decision; it’ll be about how you actually say or do it. This is when you have to think more about whether you value mercy over justice or appearances over truth.  Be where and what you are, not how’d you like to flatter yourself. However, if you feel a tug to be more of who you are, rather than other than who you are, go for it! Step deeper into yourself.

Sagittarius (November 22nd to December 21st)

One of the thorny archetypal images for your sign is that of the happy yet sad clown. It’s thorny because archetypes like that can quickly become stereotypes and broadcast all of y’all as that. You’re not, but this week you may feel like that happy sad clown. You can shake it though. As the Sun squares off against jovial Jupiter this week, you have an opportunity to definitely get “happy” or some laughter in. Laughter might naturally wend its way to you, or you might have to go find it at a comedy club or with a funny movie. But you’re more than likely to catch it. It’s the clown part you need to chuck now. You don’t have to perform for anybody. That’s how you make yourself sad and drained. Be where you are and shoot your arrows from where you stand.

Capricorn (December 22nd to January 20th)

There’s no way to get around growing pains this week, especially if you’re fully grown. Although much of our culture is dedicated to preserving fountains of youth, your sign drinks from the source of those fountains for wisdom first. It’s wisdom that allows you to grow “down,” instead of up, into yourself. What’s interesting is that as you do that growing down, y’all usually seem to look younger. And wisdom is following your own sense of destiny. This week you can’t fall for the okey-doke of who the world says you should be or how you should expand. In fact, you might feel stretched out and even literally sore in your bones for trying. You have to stay rooted in what it means for you to get ahead.

Aquarius (January 21st to February 18th)

This week it’s the Sun’s turn to tango with “Go Big or Go Home” Jupiter. Last week, it was Mercury’s turn to think up good, big ideas. This week you’re likely motivated to act on good, big ideas, but you have to be sure that you don’t overreach or attempt to do too much. As maybe your own mama or grandma said, “Your eyes could be bigger than your stomach.”  You can’t be everywhere at once, and there are only so many fires you can start and put out. Sometimes we overreach or even overreact because we’re afraid that we won’t or can’t be satisfied.  Or because we fear we’re inadequate. This could be you now. Look hard before you decide to go hard, because you could tackle more than you could chew for all the wrong reasons.

Pisces (February 19th to March 20th)

The Sun’s goes hard-core on your sign’s patron planet, Jupiter, this week. This suggests that you may feel more the need to tap out both your financial and creative reserves to open up or make something happen. It’s one thing to feel that you need to put your money where your mouth is, and it’s another thing to invest all you got into that. It would be better to start with stretching yourself first rather than thinking you have to stretch and empty out your wallet. You stretch yourself by building up your confidence and your capacity. Capacity-building is about shoring up the skillsets you need to evolve and grow, much like how people get MFA’s or MBA’s to move up in their chosen fields. Focus on how a shot of building up a particular skill would get you up and running faster, not shooting your money and energy off into the dark.
