The talented Duo Lion Babe is set to headline The Other Festival, a two-day showcase fashioned for the ladies only. That’s right —  all women, all the time. Founded by Dee Poku, the festival will showcase “major influencers across the fields of music, art, design, and technology who are redefining how to do business in their respective fields with the goal of educating and empowering the next generation of millennial women.” Taking place on October 14 – October 15 at City Point in Downtown Brooklyn, The Other Fest is the first of its kind.

This year’s festivities will feature talks with business and cultural innovators from all walks of life including Jennifer Hyman (Founder, Rent the Runway), Katia Beauchamp (Founder, Birchbox) Sarah Sophie Flicker (National Organizer, Women’s March), Misha Nonoo (Fashion Designer), Zoe Buckman (artist), Mara Hoffman (Designer), among many others. The event will end with Other Music, which will highlight a myriad of performances led by female bands, DJs, and a special guest performance by Lion Babe. Compromised of singer/songwriter Jillian Hervey and producer Lucas Goodman, the groovy pair has become a sought after act with 30 million plus streams across audio and streaming sites in less than two years.

“Last year’s success set the stage for our second celebration of
entrepreneurship and creativity and I’m thrilled to be at City Point Brooklyn,” shared Poku. “Female founders and creators have been overlooked and underrepresented for too long. I hope audiences, buyers and potential investors alike will see this festival as an opportunity to experience, discover and support exciting new talent.”
