Ricky “Lord Infamous” Dunigan of the rap group Three 6 Mafia has died. He was 40 years old.

Dunigan, who was the founding member of the band, was found dead in his mother’s home in Memphis, Tennessee Friday night. He passed away after suffering a heart attack, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

“He passed away in his sleep from a heart attack,” his half-brother, Three 6 Mafia’s DJ Paul, told The Hollywood Reporter. “He said he was tired, he wanted to sleep. He sat down at the kitchen table, put his head in his arms to lay down … to get some sleep.”

Dunigan founded Three 6 Mafia in 1991 and the band went on to become the first rap group to win an Academy Award for Best Original Song. They were given the award for their song “It’s Hard Out Here For A Pimp” in 2006.
