ABC‘s The Bachelorette made history by debuting its first African-American protagonist this season.

And while Rachel Lindsay might not see her race as a big deal for the series, one controversial cast member is making it impossible to ignore.

30-year-old Lee Garrett is one of the contestants vying for Rachel’s affections. But he may not be for long after a some old racists tweets posted to his Twitter account were made public.

“Never trust a female liberal,” Garrett is said to have posted to the account. He also allegedly described the Black Lives Matter movement as a terrorist group.

Garrett’s Twitter account is private, but according to Peopleone user was able to capture screenshots from his account.

“What’s the difference between the NAACP and the KKK? Wait for it…..One has the sense of shame to cover their racist ass faces,” he allegedly tweeted in 2015.

In this day and age, it’s pretty hard to tell what’s authentic and what has been doctored up thanks to technology. For Lee’s sake, let’s hope these tweets are fake.

So far neither ABC, Lindsay nor Garrett have commented on the matter.

Oh boy.
