The late Christopher “Big Black” Boykin’s daughter will reportedly be financially well off, TMZ reports. According to the outlet, the Rob and Big reality star set up a college fund for his 9-year-old daughter, Isis.

Friends reportedly told the site that Boykin was so focused on being a great dad that he rarely picked up big tabs or splurged on luxurious items for himself.

Chris also knew his family history of health problems related to the heart, and was determined to leave Isis financially comfortable.

Boykin passed away on Tuesday due to heart complications. His ex-wife and mother of his child, Shannon Turley, said the entertainer had been hospitalized in Plano, TX, for several days as doctors monitored his condition. She also said that medical specialists warned he would be placed on the list for a heart transplant soon.

Although the pair divorced in 2009, the 47-year-old had been living with Turley and their daughter due to his failing health. Turley took to Boykin’s Twitter account on Tuesday to announce his passing:

Friend and Rob and Big cast member, Rob Dyrdek, also reportedly reacted to the news on Tuesday:

“My heart is broken. I don’t want to write this post,” Dyrdek wrote on Tuesday. “I don’t want to believe this is reality. I am so thankful for you. We truly were brothers that lived an unexpected unforgettable adventure. I just can’t fathom that it would end so suddenly.”

To the very end, it appears that Mr. Boykin continued to look out for those he loved, especially his beautiful baby girl. Rest in paradise.
