Insecure’s Molly may be a train wreck of bad romantic decisions but the woman who plays her has some sound advice.

During an interview with Rolling Stone, Yvonne Orji offered her opinion ranging from casual dating to getting over an ex.

“The thing to do is to figure out why you broke up with your ex because in the moment emotions can take over, but you gotta remember what it was about your ex that made you feel like it was time to call it quits. Those are real emotions, so don’t ignore your gut.”

The actress, 33, is no stranger to speaking on relationship advice. Orji, who is also a comedian, gave a TEDx talk in Delaware earlier this year. During the presentation, she detailed her very strict religious upbringing and her decision to remain celibate until marriage.

“I think the talk was twofold: It was explaining to people why I waited and what worked for me, but then it’s also saying hey girl, I get it,” she told the Los Angeles Times in July. “My 17-year-old self was not trying to be waiting, but I got bamboozled by Jesus. And so if this is not your testimony that’s fine, but here’s what you can wait for in a relationship that is still equally as important.”
