Last Friday, tennis pro and soon-to-be mommy Serena Williams threw her bridal shower in Miami with 20 of her loved ones.
The tribe touched down in the city to reportedly take part in a weekend-long celebration at South Beach’s Wellness Hotel. Of course her superstar sister, Venus Williams, along with their mom were present.
“The shower really reflected Serena’s girlie and detail-oriented personality,” her friend and L.A. event planner, Val Vogt, told PEOPLE. “There were lots of surprises for her throughout the weekend.”
The 35-year-old bride- and mother-to-be reportedly kicked off festivities Saturday morning with a “mind and movement” yoga and meditation session, followed by foot massages by the hotel’s Bamford Haybarn Spa.
“It was a really magical weekend with a lot of love for Serena,” her longtime friend, Lara Shriftman, told the mag.
The athlete, who announced her pregnancy last month, then hopped on a yacht with her fiancé, Reddit Founder, Alexis Ohanian, for a cruise around Miami.
“It feels good,” Williams said earlier this year about being engaged. “[Alexis] is a really nice person, and I definitely think he treats everyone the same, which is really, really cool to see.”
